Happy Halloween

Even thought the weather would have us believe it's still summer here we do our best to pretend it's fall. Evan gets very excited when I bring out the fall decor. He quite enjoys helping put it up. For the last few years we have gone to a pumpkin patch so this year the minute it became October he was begging to go.
Kaitlyn was old enough to decorate her own pumpkin this year and she was very proud of it.

Poor Evan fell asleep while I was getting the other kids ready for the ward Trunk or Treat Party. He was able to get a little power nap in before the festivities but missed out on a photo op. Our car won 3rd place in the trunk decor contest but sadly I forgot to take a picture of our monster mouth trunk. Zack our "lil' stinker"  was runner up for the infant costume contest but lost to a super cute lobster in a pot.
We trick or treated the night away with some great friends.

Our ninja, bumble bee and skunk had a great night.

teeth

The last month has been a month of teething in our home.

.
Last month Evan knocked out his first tooth.  He patiently waited and the second loosened up enough to come out on it's own a month later with a slight tough from mom. This time the tooth fairy left a $1. I imagine this toothless grin will be around for quite a few more years. However after learning Mosers tend to have to get a lot of teeth pulled by the dentist I guess I should be glad Evan got a head start that didn't cost us more than a dollar.  : )

Kaitlyn has had two 2yr old molars come in so she constantly has her hands in her mouth and loves chewing ice.

Zack surprised us one day when all of a sudden his bottom left tooth was there. The next day his bottom right popped up. And now his bottom right side and top right side are starting to break through. Talk about a lot of teeth at once.

Evan's 1st day of preschool

Today Evan started his 1st day of preschool outside the home. He is attending preschool at a local Methodist church on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-2:30. He was very excited to go today.

Kaitlyn was very excited too. She kept thinking she was going as well. Although was curious when she was going to get her kitty cat lunch box to bring. (Evan got a Spiderman lunchbox and helped mom decorate his backpack with dragons)

Mom & Dad were excited for him to go as well. He was definitely ready to be doing something on his own. Plus it will give mom some time to focus more on Kaitlyn & Zack.

Didn't phase Evan at all to see mom go. He was in heaven playing with the magnetic blocks, the same one's his cousins have and he loves.

All Boy

We made it 4 years and 10 months with out having any major injuries. This week however, we ended that streak. Evan was playing upstairs in the playroom with his friend Tanner. For some reason they decided it would be fun to climb up on the window sill, put the draw string for the window shade in their mouth and jump. Well the draw string has a rather big "ender" the end, for lack of a better word. SO when Evan jumped with this in his mouth he successfully removed his front tooth and greatly loosed the other. A wonderfully bloody boy experience. Once he got over the initial shock he was quite proud he had lost a tooth like some of his big boy friends. We then had to explain that is NOT the typical way teeth fall out. He got a nice note from the tooth fairy instead of the typical $$. Hopefully his next tooth will come out more naturally and the tooth fairy can leave some treasure. Although he was pretty excited to get a note and hear his tooth was in the "hall of perfect teeth". Cheers to boys and their adventures.

Minivan Mom

After 5 months of living in denial that I needed a bigger car to handle our growing family I finally gave in. We bought a Honda Odyssey and I have entered the minivan phase of life. And to be honest am loving it. The kids can not reach each other when we are driving, there are air vents in the back so I don't arrive at our destinations with little sweet soaked kids, Evan can open the doors and get him and Kaitlyn in and out on his own . . . need I go on. I loved my Highlander, it was a great car while we had it but I am looking forward to great times in this new car.

Wonderful Summer Travels

This summer we decided to escape the Houston heat and go visit family elsewhere. We started our trip in Arizona where Zack was given his baby blessing.
July 1 2012
(2nd cousin, Michael Martinez, Hepa (Jon), Uncle Dee, Steve, Uncle Scott, Carrie, 2nd cousin, David, Uncle Mike)
We enjoyed cool weather in the mountains of northern AZ for the 4th of July. It was great fun playing with all the cousins and going to camp Goobie Womps where Nema & Hepa helped them memorize the articles of faith. Evan can do up to the 4th now and Kaitlyn got the 1st pretty well.
Ryan, Evan, Kaitlyn, Kate, Garrett
Parker, Riley, Kaitlyn, Ryan, Garrett, Evan
Kaitlyn & Kate enjoying some ZZZZs
Next we continued on to Massachusetts to visit Grandma and Grandpa. Auntie K was able come too. (Thank heavens she was able to fly with us from Phoenix to MA because we had quite the ordeal getting there with plane delays and such.) We enjoyed the Cape Cod beaches, the Westover Air Show, a Red Sox game and playing at grandma & grandpa's.

It was a fantastic trip! We missed daddy greatly for the 4 weeks we were apart but felt so lucky to have all that time with family.

Turning 2

Kaitlyn turned 2 this past month. We had a great time celebrating.

Some of her favorite gifts were her new tricycle, purse and backpack.

Right now she also really enjoys puzzles, dolls/stuffed animals and putting them in Zack's babyswing, singing, coloring, bubbles, sucking/chewing ice, trying on other's shoes, taking off her diaper (sometimes going potty on the toilet), and climbing. We love her!

Zack also turned 2 months in May. He is becoming quite a happy little guy now that he is on Zantac for his acid reflux. And so everyone else is happier too, espcially mommy.
