My little girl is growing up

Kaitlyn is growing up all too fast. I guess with a new baby on the way it's bound to happen. Here are a few recent happenings.

1st hair cut

One day she decided she wanted to wear her pjs with princesses on them and I could not get her to keep anything else on. I'd change her and be fore I knew it she would be walking out from her room having changed back into the pjs.

This is something her dad has taught her. He'll ask a question like "who loves mommy" and she'll raise her hand and say "I do". This picture was taken on Valentine's Day when we had pink chocolate chip pancakes for dinner. Steve asked who likes the pancakes and Kaitlyn of course said "I do".

Kaitlyn loves to be a part of preschool with the boys when it's at our house. The boys are starting to warm up to her joining us.

The most recent growing up event is that she can climb out of her crib. The real fun begins just in time for the baby to arrive. She and Evan share a room and he has a tendency to climb in and out of the crib at night. Well she has learned from the best and the other day I tried to transfer her from her car seat she had fallen asleep in to the crib. She woke up but I thought I'd unload the groceries before I went back to get her. Well no need to because as I came in the house around the corner she came having crawled out of the crib on her own. She was very proud. Luckily so far she has been very good about staying in when I put her down for bed. The other morning it was so cute, Evan came parading into our room as he usually does at 6:45am but this time he had a big smile on his face as Kaitlyn came strolling in behind him saying "goo morning".

Surprise Baby Shower

My wonderful friends surprised me with a baby shower last weekend. I had told them for number 3 a shower wasn't necessary. But my dear friend Rachael would have none of it. So she invited me out to lunch with her and when we showed up the whole group was there. It was great fun. I am so grateful and blessed to have wonderful friends that are so caring.
