Minivan Mom

After 5 months of living in denial that I needed a bigger car to handle our growing family I finally gave in. We bought a Honda Odyssey and I have entered the minivan phase of life. And to be honest am loving it. The kids can not reach each other when we are driving, there are air vents in the back so I don't arrive at our destinations with little sweet soaked kids, Evan can open the doors and get him and Kaitlyn in and out on his own . . . need I go on. I loved my Highlander, it was a great car while we had it but I am looking forward to great times in this new car.

Wonderful Summer Travels

This summer we decided to escape the Houston heat and go visit family elsewhere. We started our trip in Arizona where Zack was given his baby blessing.
July 1 2012
(2nd cousin, Michael Martinez, Hepa (Jon), Uncle Dee, Steve, Uncle Scott, Carrie, 2nd cousin, David, Uncle Mike)
We enjoyed cool weather in the mountains of northern AZ for the 4th of July. It was great fun playing with all the cousins and going to camp Goobie Womps where Nema & Hepa helped them memorize the articles of faith. Evan can do up to the 4th now and Kaitlyn got the 1st pretty well.

Next we continued on to Massachusetts to visit Grandma and Grandpa. Auntie K was able come too. (Thank heavens she was able to fly with us from Phoenix to MA because we had quite the ordeal getting there with plane delays and such.) We enjoyed the Cape Cod beaches, the Westover Air Show, a Red Sox game and playing at grandma & grandpa's.

It was a fantastic trip! We missed daddy greatly for the 4 weeks we were apart but felt so lucky to have all that time with family.
