Kaitlyn Jane

Kaitlyn Jane Moser was born at 7:59a on Tuesday, May 25 after only 75 min at the hospital. She was 6 lbs 14 oz and 19 inches long. Mom and baby are doing great, recovering well. Kaitlyn is eating and sleeping and squeeking like a pro.

Evan met his little sister later in the day. He was so excited to get a camera and Lightning race car that Kaitlyn gave him. He was very gentle with her and even gave her a kiss without being prompted.

Sorry that all the pictures are just of her face. We will post more pictures later.

Birthday Weekend

This weekend Steve turned the big 30. You know he is feeling old when he is actually considering paying for a gym membership. He had a softball game Friday (his actual birthday) so I made cupcakes and we celebrated at the field with friends after the game. (Sadly I didn't get any pictures of this)
He must really love me to spend his birthday weekend this way. I sure am lucky!
Thanks hun, it looks fabulous.

Then the rest of the weekend was not so much of a celebration for him. He spent Saturday landscaping our yard spreading rock and mulch for 8 hours, some of which he was getting help from two 2 year olds while my fabulous sister-in-law threw me a baby shower. Not to mention it was one of the most humid days we've had here so far this year. As if he didn't feel old before he sure does now after all that shoveling of rock and mulch. (This I did get pictures of)

Easter

We started a fun new tradition this year called an Easter walk. Clues are given out of the scriptures about the Easter story and the kids have to find items while on a walk that represent something from that scripture. It was a fun way to remember our Savior.

We just returned for a wonderful 10 days in England. We saw so much amazing history and countryside. Steve and I got to see all the sites we wanted and Evan was thrilled to see/ride the trains and double decker buses. He held up really well to our busy schedule. It was so fun!!!

True Blessings

I am lucky to have had two truly wonderful people as my grandparents. They both passed away this week with in 24 hours of each other. How sweet it is to know they are still together and can go on enjoying the eternities with out any more physical pain. I love them and am so grateful to have had them as examples and as a part of my life.

Happy Valentine's Day

Growing up I have fond memories of my mom always making a fun dinner on Valentine's Day full of hearts and treats. This made the whole family feel included on the holiday of love. As a result I've always looked at the holiday as not just a day to be extra sweet to your sweet heart but also as a day to have fun expressing your love to other family members and friends. I've decided to continue the tradition. For this Valentine's day we had pink pancake faces for dinner. I even managed to squeeze a few nutrients in by coloring the pancakes with pureed beets. Evan thought his pancake face was great.

This is just a random picture of Evan's recent napping spot before church. Why he finds this more comfortable than his bed I do not know.

We are having a . . . .

We found out this morning and are very excited. So far everything looked great on the ultrasound. However, she is a little bashful and didn't want to show her face so we didn't get any good face shots. Luckily she cooperated with the gender aspect of the ultrasound.
